Planning for 2010
For the last five years we have been searching for new forms for rituals in cemeteries for Allerzielen Alom. It appears to fill a great need. Since then, Allerzielen Alom has spread over the entire country. There continues to be a need to make use of the poetic strength of experimental art. That is thus also the reason that there is a need to transfer knowledge and experience to the field. The project Allerzielen Alom: The Muse for Remembering has been set up to provide continuity and imagination to the growing practice of Allerzielen Alom. Introduction day and master classes for organisers and directors (28-02-2010)
Organising Allerzielen Alom in a community is a huge undertaking. We are thus developing a series of master classes in 2010 for organisers and directors. Do you want to know if this project fits your talents, ideas, and goals, and do you want to organise an inspiring Allerzielen Alom celebration in your area in which art plays an important role. Then come to the introduction day to be held on Monday 22 March 2010 from 13.30 to 17.00. (Note: This is a repeat of the introduction day just held on 13 February.) For more information and the invitation click here.
English translation (01-01-2010)
As you have certainly noticed, this website has been, for the most part, translated into English, as Allerzielen Alom looks beyond the Dutch border. The translation of the concept of Allerzielen Alom is not just a question of language, but as with all literature, also a question of translating ‘feelings’. The translater (English native speaker) welcomes all comments and questions, but is particularly interested to know from other English native speakers if the text reads properly.

All Souls’ Day New Style celebrations in the Province of North Holland in 2009 are a success!
The All Souls’ Day New Style celebrations held in the Province of North Holland were a great success. The one held in Graft-De Rijp attracted close to one thousand visitors, the ones in Edam and Santpoort Noord (Velsen) over five hundred each. They were special and inspirational evenings for many of them. The art forms and atmosphere helped participants to remember, stories were told, people were moved but at the same could enjoy.
